have worked as a nutritional adviser for two organisations, I can

Comfort Eating:
Many
people find that their diets are hindered,
or finally fall apart, because they begin picking, snacking or
comfort eating.
Sometimes
this is because they feel a need for
emotional comfort. This can be assisted with counselling and
psychotherapy to address the underlying issues causing this.
Picking and snacking can be directly addressed as conditioned
responses (habits) and thus reprogrammed with hypnosis.
Visualisation:
Positive
visualisation using hypnotherapy and
NLP techniques can assist you in working positively towards your
goal, with better determination and motivation.

Therapeutical
intervention can also assist you
in seeing your "diet" as a permanent change in eating,
rather than a short term "fix". Most diets fail to
achieve the expectations of the dieter. This is because they are
seen as a way of losing weight. As soon as the person stops the
diet, the weight returns. Permanent change comes through eating
healthily and exercising for ever. Therapy can help you to find
an acceptable method, and feel good about doing it. Therefore not
