Therapist Supervision

I am able to offer supervision to therapists in both the Scotland and North of England areas. Further supervision is available out of area by telephone, email and fax.

My Professional insurance policy covers me for supervision in all my professional areas of expertise including Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy, Counselling, Stress Management and Reiki. Email to discuss.

Therapist training

As an NVQ Assessor I am contracted by a leading training organisation to assess candidates for the NVQ in Advice and Guidance award. This is an internationally recognised award and represents a national standard of quality. The NVQ award is a requirement of the Diploma training provided which covers Hypnotherapy, Stress Management Counselling and Analysis and which leads to full qualification and insurance to practice. Therefore you gain an independent diploma as you would with the other organisations available, AND an NVQ award proving a nationally recognised standard of practice.

Further therapist training is available via accredited distance learning, from Stonebridge Associated Colleges. Unlike most distance learning colleges, Stonebridge are an accredited ASET centre. ASET are a QCA accredited awarding body.

Therapist Assessment

Therapists or organisations involved in Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy, Counselling or related areas may be able to gain internationally recognised accreditation for their professional competence through the NVQ system. The NVQ awards in Advice and Guidance assess the practitioner's ability to carry out the actual professional role. This therefore represents a practical test of ability and competence to a recognised standard. Most practitioners will recognise the value of such an award, in an industry where most diplomas are independent and not nationally accredited.

Assessment is carried out by properly accredited assessors and verified by properly qualified verifiers within the NVQ system. The final award is an NVQ award and the examination board is often the RSA. For more information email me and I will be pleased to advise you further.
