The Society for Holistic Therapists and Coaches (SHTC) exists to provide the General Public and Health Professionals with a body of regulated professionals, all qualified to accredited levels, and who all obey the appropriate NOS National Occupational Standards.
All of our members have appropriate professional qualifications that are either directly accredited in their own right (e.g. NVQ's and Degrees), or are from QCA / SQA approved Awarding bodies.
We do not accept members who only have independently accredited awards.
All our members are contracted by their membership terms and conditions to adhere to the appropriate National Occupational Standards (NOS) for therapies offered. The NOS are the officially set professional standards in the UK.

Stonebridge Associated Colleges
(Validation agreement means no verification fees for Stonebridge students)
- Centre awarding ASET awards up to level 5. Courses being adapted to enable proactive adherence by graduates to the appropriate NOS.
- Topics including Counselling, Life Coaching, Healing
and various other complementary health therapies.
- Courses primarily by distance learning. Practical training workshops, and student practice groups under development.

When you pay for a Stonebridge Therapist training course, and receive £10 off the cost of SHTC membership. This means student membership becomes FREE, or you can deduct £10 from the cost of practitioner grade membership. For this to be valid you must quote the referral code above when purchasing your course. You then apply for SHTC membership as usual, but instead of enclosing full payment, make the needed adjustment and quote the above code again. This offer is only valid against one membership application per person, and will be checked to ensure the reference has been quoted and the course has been purchased. Where payment to Stonebridge for the course is not made in full, or there are other irregularities, membership with be terminated unless the customer pays any balance owing.ITEC Therapy courses.
All ITEC courses at level 3 and above are acceptable for the appropriate level of membership.

Clear Intentions operates under a number of related trading names in different locations and all of these are pre-validated.
ITEC graduates at level 3 can apply for Associate Practitioner membership. Non-ITEC accredited graduates are welcome at "ordinary practitioner" level.
Courses cover a range of holistic subjects including Reiki, Crystal Healing and other holistic healing courses.
NVQ Courses
Well Mind Limited Professional Diploma with NVQ in Advice and Guidance. The Diploma in Stress Management and Life Support is acceptable for membership once the associated Level 3 (or Level 4) NVQ in Advice and Guidance is successfully completed. We recognise that appropriately accredited awards by correspondence are sufficient for many professionals, especially those who have previous practical training or experience. For those who feel they need additional training to meet a level of competence, training courses and seminars are planned with some of our training partners.
Note to training bodies: If you have awards relevant to the subject of complementary health, counselling or personal development counselling / coaching, and you have awards accredited to a minimum of level 3, you may be eligible for a link on this page.
