Welcome to the UK Premier Therapy and Holistic Well being Personal Development Site

'Personal & spiritual Development - The solution to your problems is in you'

Probably the most effective method of stopping smoking available!

If you don't really want to quit, please leave my site now. I only help those who REALLY want to be helped. This is not an insult, I just sincerely want to help those who are dedicated to their own health and well-being. I am sure you understand that the package offered is very powerful and comprehensive, and not to be wasted.

Why is this Package so effective at stopping smoking?

Because it combines some of the most effective methods that are used in complementary health:

1- Hypnosis

2- Motivational Behaviour change
(e.g. Allan Carr method)

3 -Self-help methods
Including hypnosis tapes, hand-outs and recommended supplements

All of these methods are combined in order to effectively hit the smoking habit with a number of effective tools, all at once. Instead of using just one possible method, this is a "belt and braces" approach to give you the best possible chance of becoming and remaining a non-smoker. As an ex-smoker I truly HATE the habit and have dedicated much effort to creating a substantially improved version of methods available in the field before now.

Why use Hypnotherapy / Hypnosis to stop smoking?

Because the addiction to smoking is mainly psychological. After the first few days the physical addiction is over. After that time it is the mental addiction that triggers people into returning to the habit. And as you may know, most people return to the habit weeks or months later and can brave out those first couple of days.

Force of habit, conditioned response, emotional comfort (adult version of a baby's dummy), seeing others smoking, being in a position when you would smoke previously ....... these are all typical triggers for smoking again after trying to quit.

Also defeatism as an excuse! The quit smoker slips for one evening, probably after having had a drink. He/she has a few cigarettes and then the next morning carries on smoking because he/she "failed". This can be after years of abstinence! This is a typical use of defeatism as a justification for starting again!

Denial is another reason, again psychological. People are well educated in many of the risks of smoking, such as cancer, heart disease, bronchitis etc..... However they rarely really imagine what that could mean to THEM. They treat it as an academic exercise, not real life where it could be THEM returning home after a check-up and telling a loved one they have months to live! People like to treat it as a problem on paper, or something that happens to others .... it is NOT!

Hypnotherapy can tackle the conditioned response and help to program NEW responses, responses that do not involve tobacco. This tackles the habit HEAD-ON. Also with the defeatism, it is possible, gently of course, to use a little visualisation to imagine these issues PERSONALLY (although never going so far as to harm the client with the exercise). The reaction of "denial" too can be tackled with new "programming".

A good therapist will also go through all the risk factors, personal details, history and related data in an interview with the client, both to ensure safety to proceed, and to gain useful information to incorporate into the hypnotherapy session. They will also provide a booster tape, advice sheets and use more than just hypnosis to help you quit.

Do I have to be a deep-trance subject to quit smoking with hypnosis ?

NO - the majority of therapeutical work does not require a deep trance and smoking is one of these majority areas. Indeed it is a myth that deep trance is needed for hypnotherapy. Stage hypnotists use deep trance for their entertainment shows, and because that is what most people see as an example of hypnosis, they think all hypnosis is like that. In fact only light trance states are used for the majority of therapy work using hypnosis (hypnotherapy).

Should aversion methods be used to stop people smoking?

Aversion methods (using negative, nasty images) should be avoided in the majority of cases. If you set up a suggestion that cigarettes feel as if they are burning your client's lips, you should have special permission from the client for this. I am personally NOT in favour of this kind of hypnosis. Apart from ethical issues, once the client tests the suggestion, and if they overcome it, the suggestion becomes instantly useless and further suggestion may also be blocked. Description of negative consequences usually suffices.

Positive suggestion about benefits should be the vast majority of the "script" used by the therapist. This is based on what the client will achieve from quitting, what they want to achieve and how better they will feel compared with the alternative of remaining smokers. This should provide no opportunity for the client to have a suggestion that "rubs them up the wrong way". At all times the therapist should remember they are operating by the consent of the client, and never cross an ethical line!

In this service the process is tailored to YOU! And aversion methods are avoided.

OK so why Motivational techniques?

Most people have heard of the success of some of the motivational methods used, such as those recommended by Allan Carr. Alone these methods are good at changing our understanding of, and power over the habit. As part of the package available here, its incredibly powerful!

And lastly -  why use Self-help techniques?

Because any therapy is only as good as its ability to last outside of the clinic walls! By having a recording of your personal live hypnosis session, hand-outs of facts and information, advice and help sheets, and advice on supplements, you are armed to continue the process begun in the clinic and make the process work permanently! These include:

  • Information sheets with practical advice.
  • Live Hypnosis recording.
  • Crystal Gemstones
  • Vitamin Supplements
  • Ongoing email support

OK so how many sessions?

In most cases a single double (2 hour) session is effective.

Follow-up sessions are available in case of any difficulty, but these are rarely required.
