Holistic Family Health Management

What is Holistic Family Health Management?

Staying healthy can be difficult in todays lifestyle environment. Up to 75% of the population in the UK may at some stage experience symptoms such as fatigue, mood swings or apathy. (Figures BSY Group Data 2005).

The World Health Organisation considers Mental Health problems such as:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Dementia
  • Learning difficulties
  • Hyperactivity

as the major health issue of this Century.

Many such issues are caused or worsened by a combination of factors. These include:

  • Stress
  • Poor Diet
  • Toxicity
  • Poor Lifestyle

Using a range of therapies such as life coaching and counselling, combined with complementary health education, the client can learn to help themselves and attain their personal optimum health levels.

What methods are used in Holistic Family Health Management?

It is essential to combine a range of therapies and techniques in order to have a multi-pronged approach.

Life coaching and lifestyle management provide a basis around which to combine therapies and techniques.

Using Complementary Health Education in combination with the above provides a powerful combination. The Therapist works on the life coaching and psychotherapy aspects of the case, while empowering the client to use a range of therapies to self-help. This is achieved by teaching aspects of the therapies, in a self-help model, so that the client learns lasting holistic skills.

So is this just life Coaching?

No, absolutely not! Life coaching and psychotherapy address overall lifestyle and underlying causes respectively. In addition Complementary Health Education empowers the client with a range of new skills.

How do I get Started?

Your first session, as with all professional therapy, will be based around assessing case history and presentation.

As part of this first session, a plan is put together, drawing from all the resources and techniques available, to design a course of development just for you. All courses are unique, since all clients are unique. The objectives are:

  • To train the client in self-treating with  complementary health techniques. This is done through demonstration and explanation.
  • Address lifestyle concerns and underlying issues with psychotherapy.
