Feng Shui
What is Feng Shui?
In many cultures the importance of priorities in the
environment, living
space and living style have been recognised. The most famous of these
is Feng
Shui, a Chinese style closely related to the I Ching book of changes.
Feng Shui
is not a religion or environment Consultant, therefore it can be used
by people of all environment Consultants, or
no environment Consultant without conflict. This said, many lessons
have been learnt where
different cultures have incorporated elements of feng shui into their
lives.
this in turn has been fed back into the modern application of feng shui.
Is Feng Shui just about moving things about
in the home?
No- this is a popular misconception! Although the
energy movement and
avoidance of clutter principles of feng shui are ver important in the
home,
there is far more to it than that! There are elements of healthy
holistic living
and life coaching too!
What methods are used?
1. Internal Feng shui. The
internal side looks at the practices and
lifestyle of the client, looking to optimise the way the person is
living. this
is not about "bossing the client about"! It is rather providing ideas
and methods that enable the client to achieve what they want in life,
drawing on
the accumulated wisdom of life coaching and feng shui.
2. External Feng Shui. Here the
environment of the client is examined
in detail, both living, and where possible working. The consultant will
map and
examine the layout and content of the environments looking to improve
the energy
flows. This includes getting rid of clutter and negative energy,
increasing
positive energy, and overall balancing the different energies
corresponding to
the internal feng shui of the client. The internal and external sides
of feng
shui are linked.
3. Related methods. Living life in
a way that is holistic and
not self destructive can mean learning a variety of self-help methods.
these
might involve meditation, relaxation, prayer (for religious clients),
short
healing breaks, use of complementary health techniques and so on.
4. Complementary tools and items.
Many items can complement the home
and environment. The consultant can recommend which items might improve
elements
of your home and why. Classic examples of such items are plants,
crystals,
mirrors, paintings and photographs of loved ones. some of these may be
provided
by the consultant, clearly many are accessible directly by the client
from
existing belongings or regular shops.
5. Complementary therapies.
Sometimes the client will have deeper
issues that they wish to resolve. Feng Shui helps to provide a good
platform and
basis for doing this. Other therapies and self-help methods can
complement the
process and can be provided by other therapists, or if so desired by
the client,
by the consultant (where qualified to do so).
6. More subtle energy sources in the home
and body. Sometimes the
client or their home will have more subtle energy variations. These may
be
caused by illness, the home being on a ley line, paranormal activity
and so
forth. Using dowsing, reiki and kinesiology these can be addressed in
detail.
