Dowsing
There are a number of methods of dowsing, as well as a
number of tools that
can be used. The most famous dowsing method is with a pair of rods,
while
searching for water or precious metals in the environment. This is
however just
one of the many uses of dowsing.
In therapy dowsing can be used to search for sources
of imbalance and blocks
in the body, mind and aura. This can be used as an alternative-type
diagnosis
technique of the energy lines of the body. It can also be therapeutic
through concentrating
then on the identified area and channeling positive energy into that
area.
A typical tool for dowsing in a therapy context is the
crystal pendulum.
There are a number of different crystals that are used for this,
usually the
type is chosen by the practitioner as the one he or she can focus best
with.
Some practitioners also use a pair of wands or pair of
long crystals.

The dowsing is usually carried out with the client
lying down and in a
relaxed state. Commonly the practitioner will use a relaxation process
with the
client before commencing the treatment. This process not only increases
the
enjoyment felt by the client, but removes many surface negative
energies which
can detract from a positive treatment session.
Additional
healing can be achieved using
crystal healing, meditation, Reiki,
colour
therapy, visualisation or other
healing methods.
