DowsingThe Use of Dowsing as an assessment and healing tool. What is Dowsing and how is it used?Assessment: Dowsing can be used in two primary ways. The first way is as an assessment tool. This is not a medical assessment or diagnosis. Instead it is a holistic method of locating the source or nature of a problem. Dowsing picks up on the energy centres or disruptions caused by the unbalance in the client. Holistic theory is that these disruptions have a negative effect on the overall holistic balance of the client, leading to symptoms and problems. In western medicine complaints are often treated as stand alone issues or "illnesses". In holistic theory they are indications of the body having a deeper imbalance or problem. It is important to still seek medical attention for the illness from your medical doctor. Dowsing can help to address the underlying holistic issues and increase your overall wellbeing. It is however a complement to conventional medicine and does not claim to replace conventional medicine or "cure" illnesses. During the entire process of assessment and treatment, the client remains fully clothed and in a relaxed state. The process is pleasant although often emotional revelations or images may occur to the client as the energies or issues causing the problem are addressed or released. An experienced therapist can guide and assist the client to ensure that these are manageable and not painful. There might for example be a few tears if the causation is emotional, but the release is more than worth any temporary emotional discomfort. Healing: The second method dowsing can be used for is addressing the actual energy imbalance. There are a number of ways of doing this, each slightly different depending on the style of the therapy or therapist.
NOTE: Dowsing is a complementary form of healing. It does not claim to "cure" an illness or injury. Instead it works holistically, boosting the body in its attempts to heal itself. Denise is a well qualified therapist with an ASET Level 4 award in Professional Therapeutic Counselling, an ASET Level 4 Award in Clinical Nutrition, and a range of other diploma qualifications in related issues. Both practitioners adhere to NOS National Occupational Standards and are professionally registered and insured. Both are Fellows of the Society for Holistic Therapists and Coaches.
