Questions and Answers:
Here we reply to some of the more recent and silly
allegations! We will add new Q and A as and when more silly emails are
received!
Q.
There is only one true faith and you will be damned
for working with devil worshippers and evil doers who do not follow the
one true God.
A.
We are committed to anti-discrimination and working with all persons
and faiths equally. We support International, European and British law
as regards to religious equal rights.
Q.
All our qualifications are honorary and meaningless.
A.
Take a look at http://www.hypno-analysis.co.uk/whyus.htm
and read about our Nationally Accredited Awards, including NVQ and ASET
awards. This also explains the role of any honorary or pastoral awards
and provides clarity and transparency. Incidentally we have had this
checked by a professional body to verify that the details given are
clear, accurate and responsible. Trading standards have twice checked
these details, and twice acknowledged there is no case to answer.
Q.
We are associated with a degree mill.
A.
Our only degree association is that Paul does occasional assessment and
tutoring for an Interfaith Seminary. In the past he has formally signed
certification, verified by the Seminary under US Law in his unpaid role
within the Seminary. These have all been officially registered and
authorised by the Seminary following agreed periods of study and
assessment to professional standards. Official standards of assessment
and registration were always adhered to. At no stage have degrees been
"purchased" as in a degree mill. Paul has never personally issued any
degree. Again this has been checked by Trading Standards.
Q.
As an ordained minister or psychotherapist how can you
associate yourself with tarot and similar practices?
A.
I have never claimed to be a Christian minister, and in multi-faith
work there is no conflict to using methods such as tarot. Regarding
psychotherapy, tarot is not used in counselling sessions, and in indeed
tarot was used by one of the great psychoanalysts, Carl Jung.
Q.
Why involve yourself in any multi-faith work as a
psychotherapist?
A.
Faith issues are NEVER forced on any clinical client. However we get
many clients contacting us for pastoral or spiritual related issues. In
these cases it is quite proper and appropriate to use pastoral
multi-faith methods. Again if you doubt the relationship between the
spiritual and therapy, consider Carl Jung!
Q.
You are not a proper minister / therapist etc etc
A.
All our certification and accreditation has been checked by our
registering and insurance bodies to their satisfaction. Again feel free
to check the details http://www.hypno-analysis.co.uk/whyus.htm
Q.
You use various made up titles and letters
A.
Not at all, again check out the qualifications to nationally accredited
standards on the link above. Regarding other titles: We do both hold
various titles related to a Holy Charitable Religious Order, but these
are not used in therapy, or for therapy marketing and are fully
explained to anyone asking. They are quite legal and are part of our
private life and private faith. Our faith and right to free association
are protected under human rights legislation. This is private life, not
therapy related. Those who make an issue of it are either
discriminating against our faith, or seeking to link our personal and
professional lives in a misleading manner. Anyone with any common sense
can tell that a title such as "lord" is irrelevant to therapy practice! In regard to our Degrees from the Seminary please note that these degrees
are earned degrees and not purchased or honorary degrees. They required
substantial work that has taken over 15 years to complete. The work has
also gained substantial recognition in different formats gaining a
clinical award of excellence in practical therapeutic use, and external
accreditation in training use, both in the UK.
Q
Do you claim to be medical doctors?
A
Absolutely not. We are not medical doctors. We have never
claimed to be medical doctors. We always clearly state that we are not
medical doctors. Our doctorates are in Pastoral / Divinity subjects and
not medicine. We are NOT medical
doctors.
