So where do I start?
Your first session, as with all professional therapy, will be based
around assessing case history and presentation.
As part of this first session, a plan is put together, drawing from
all the resources and techniques available, to design a course of
development just for you. All courses are unique, since all clients are
unique. The objective is to train the client in self-treating with
acupressure and complementary techniques. This is done through
demonstration and explanation.
Where Acupressure is appropriate, either fingertip, or electronic
Meridan stimulation is used. Electronic stimulation uses a small device,
rather like a pen, to stimulate the Meridan point. This is entirely
painless and is indeed gentle and pleasant.
Acupressure doe not break the skin, does not use needles and is very hygienic.
The majority of treatments can be achieved without the client
disrobing. Usually sufficient points can be stimulated with the client
remaining dressed or partially dressed. This is possible because of the existence
of full Meridan maps on the hands, ears and feet.
Who carries out the treatments?
Paul Morgan-Ayres is the practitioner who provides this
service as part of the complementary health education service in the
practice. Comprehensive Acupressure and related programmes were assessed
as part of Paul's NVQ Level IV in Training & Development. Paul also
uses traditional healing methods based on traditional holistic faith
healing.
